In this video drum lesson we are going to learn some beginner tom-tom beats. Tom-tom beats can add a lot to a song, and provide a completely different feel than what most people are used to.
Many drummers wonder what they can do with their toms other than only using them during fills. The answer to this problem is to encorporate them into your beats. This may be difficult at first when you are trying to com up with your own tom-tom beats, but take the beats that I've provided in this video lesson and use them as your own. Once you get comfortable with these patterns, try to morph them and create your own uniue beats using you toms.
