Complex Tom-Tom Beats
Learn How To Play Complex Tom-Tom Beats!
In this lesson we are going to be playing some more tom-tom beats. These beats are a lot more complex than the previous Tom-Tom Lesson. Make sure you take these beats super slow at first, and make sure that you have the sequence memorized before you try to speed them up.
Examples 1, 3, and 5 mix various note values, including thirty-secondth notes and sixteenth notes.
Examples 2, and 4 make use of sixteenth note triplets to vary the complexity of the beat. Make sure to remember the count for sixteenth note triplets: one trip let and trip let, two trip let and trip let, etc.
